Make sure you keep us updated.

This sucks you make me hate my 06TL, but some things on the 07 I dont like, and others I do...

I wouldnt mind the more HP/TQ but the only real thing I would like is the navi w/ traffic..

Other than that I am really happy with my 06TL as well... I also had an 05TL I traded in for this one... (dont ask why, lol)

TLFourplay, did you notice any increase in power ?. Wonder if the 3.5 motor needs the intake as much as the 3.2 ?.

It sounds great and I did notice a wonderful increase in power. I ran it at the track last night adn I couldnt keep from burning out. It burns out on command anytime in second and first gear adn chirps into third. I am going to throw my stock rims on for next friday night.

I am going to do a dyno pull but I want to wait until I get the UR pulley and outlaw racing thermoblock intake spacers.

Why not do a before dyno?

Then install the pulley and spacer........and do an after dyno to quantitatively note the diferences.

I suggest you do this for you and the other TL-S owners.

Think you may wanna relocate your IAT back to the throttle body and see how it runs.

I thought it is better to have it in the intake tube....?? Correct me if I am wrong.

I ran an 1/8th. It i the only track around here. I was pissed though cause I couldnt get traction at all so I only ran a 9.40. Oh well. I am getting my Tein SS's in the mail this week adn putting the stock rims back on before track night next friday so I will see then. Also gotta remember it is pretty cold out too.

I may dyno it now before I get the other things, we shall see.

Surprisingly its not very loud. I had a 00 accord v6 with AEM short ram and when vtec engaged you freakin knew it! The TL-S isnt all that loud though, it is nice, not noticeable at all under normal conditions and loud enough to let you adn some people around you know its there under spirited driving.

8004-003

Perfect fit, it is the exact same width and depth of the stock battery but it is shorter.

Thats awesome, I have been considering getting a CAI for mine. Can you tell me which one I need for the 07 Type S, how much it is, where to get it from, and also how difficult was it to install?

Also what is the point of the Red Battery??

Thanks for your help.

I cant help with battery question, but the rest I can.

Get an intake for an TL year 04+

Can be the AEM or Injen one... I am sure Injen works as the AEM did and they are just about the same...

You can find online or on eBay... I think back when I got mine it was just under $200... Install, you can do yourself, does take a little time if your first time.. I have done two in my life, first one I took like 4 hours, lol 2nd one half that... This is with lotsa stops and what not... But is simple.

I am sure the procats would fit too.. But wow a 1000 bucks.. Hmm gotta think about that one for a little bit. Although I did just drop 1224 on some Tien SS's w/EDFC.. The procats seem worth it though.

but your gains would be much higher on the 3.5 than the 3.2, think about that. ;]

Is it possible the 3.5 uses higher flowing cats ?. I saw the prices for replacement cats for the 3.5 are almost 3x the cost of the 3.2

Most definitely. I love the sound, very mellow during regular driving but very aggresive during spirited driving. Love the woosh sound when I shift gears and it is DEFINITELY more powerful. I would do it again ina heartbeat.

Tein SS w/EDFC are in the mail on the way, I have the navtv2go decoder here and ready to install, I just need to buy a dvd player. I have the comptech SS on the way, aluminum shifter bushings on the way... Talking with Sean at outlaw eng to get some thermoblock spacres, and going to talk to the tech guys at UR to get a crank pulley. Whenever the comptech supercharger is released I will buy that too. Basically I am doing everything I can do. One more thing on the drawing board is getting the intake manifold extrude honed adn the throttle body bored out.

There is a little road "feel/noise" at lower speeds but nothing bad at all. I had a focus once upon a time and that thing tracked wierd with bigger rims on it but the TL wieghs enough that it isnt really affected.

I would imagine the crank pulley is the same too since the 3.0L Accord V6, 3.2L CL/TL, and the 3.5L MDX all share the same pulley.

You will have a beast of a Type S. I can tell you from experience, Comptech takes a reallllly long time to get products out. The 4th gen TL will be out by the time the s/c is released from Comptech for the Type S. They made us wait for over a year and half the s/c.

My only issue now is traction. I cant hold traction in first or second and it chirps into third. What the hell am I going to do when I get everything done to it?? I am putting my stock tires back on for the track this weekend and am going to lower the psi to see if that helps.

Just wait until you are s/c. 300+ WHP is very hard to put to the ground.

Alot of us have that problem. Welcome to the world of a high horsepower FWD car. Getting traction can be tricky sometimes. Just wait until you have 300 WHP. It gets worse.
