'07 Tls Cai Install ! ! !

Whats up guys? To do the CAI on an '07 TLS, i've read that u have to take the bumper off. Is it possible to gain enough access to do the install by just pullin the driver side wheel?

Yes, you have enough access to the resonator by just pulling the driver side wheel.

Remove the bumper!!

I HIGHLY recommend you remove the bumper to do this installation. I did my TypeS and there was actually a couple of steps left out of the instruction video floating around the forums....removing the OEM intake is not as easy as you think.

Reasons why you need bumper removed:
- not that much room to work from just inside the wheel well.
- intake tube has a bolt underneath the battery that is very tricky to get to and can only be reached from underneath.
- resonator box has 2 rivets that must be drilled out..and can only be reached from the front of the vehicle.
- depending on what CAI you get you may have to play around with the fitment of the filter and the mounting bracket so the fog light will not rub against the filter (see my other post). AEM CAI might not have a clearance issue with fog light.
- even with all the bolts/screws/rivets removed, you still need to apply a bit of force from different angles to jank the tubing out.
- REMOVING THE BUMPER IS A 15 MINUTE JOB...I actually got it down to less then 10 minutes after removing it a few times to work the INJEN CAIN fitment issue.

Good luck!!

Another stupid "should I remove the bumper" thread. Try using search next time. This question has only been answered 300 times in the past month.

Give the OP a break! There are so much info floating around and it may take some peeps a while to find/operate the search link. We Acuraziners are a civilized group so let's welcome and offer our assistance to our new members....including myself.
