'07+ TL-S filter/intake - What fits?

De the same aftermarket set-ups that fit the standard TLs also fit the Type-S models?

If so, I'd be most interested in one that used the latest generation dry element design.

Has anyone dynoed a TL-S stock and then with an intake in order to quantify the gains?

I've got my TL-S done with AEM CAI......snap! I forgot to dyno before and after. I've noticed some gainage after AEM CAI. I would have to say 5~10whp. If you get catback system, you will definitely notice lot more.

I wonder why AEM doesn't make a V2 for this car?

I'm 43 - old enough to appreciate the serenity of the car, but young enough to appreciate the performance. I won't be installing a cat-back.

An intake of some kind will go on, since their invisible (with the hood closed) and don't add much noise during normal driving.

Did you install the CAI yourself? If so, what was involved?

AEM intake came with good instruction with pictures how to install it on TL. Well, if I did it myself, it would take a lot longer. I took it to RBMotoring in city of industry in California. They did modify Nissan R34 Skyline for 2Fast2Furious movie; the one that Paul Walker was driving. The person who installed CAI, his name is Jason. He wasn't really familiar with Acura TL-S; it took him 2 hours to install it; why did it take so much time? We had to wait 40minutes to cool off the engine, otherwise coolant would exploide. He says they're lot of sensors involved on the engine, so he was being real careful not to smack something off. It took it about 1hr to install it, and he took extra 20minutes just to inspect if everything is in right order. I drove it home afterwards, and I noticed 3 tones of sound. Every time I upshifted or downshifted, it makes pssss sound....like a turbo. 2nd tone was heard; really high pitch air sound when i push the gas. 3rd tone is from engine. At high RPM, that thing was growling really deep. Ever since I've got it, I love it!

That's impressive. What dyno and conditions? Can you post your run chart?

There is a dyno sheet around with a Stock TL-S at (IIRC) 253. TLFourplay posted his dyno sheet as well: 261 WHP; And his is pretty heavily modified.
