I'm am specifically looking for someone to post a link or picture with a dyno reading of a stock 2005 Acura TL with an Automatic Transmission. I have yet to find anything online (specifically on Acurazine.com) with these readings. All of them are either MT, Type-S or have aftermarket parts.

Thanks again,
Friz

I think part of the problem is that dyno reports always create a lot of, and typically the same, discussions. Since numbers will vary from machine to machine and method to method, it's hard to get a solid and consistent number.

Figure in the neighborhood of 205 hp, stock TL Auto (from what I've come across). But YMMV depending on how, when, and what you test on. It's tough to do side by side comparisons without doing back to back runs (if that makes sense).

As for gainz from mods, that's where a back to back dyno run would be handy. Not so much for determining the absolute power output but rather for calculating the net difference in power from the change. Eg, swapping a pipe nets +xx hp and changing precat nets +yy hp.

And that net gainz info is also pretty readilly available from the manufacturers. TL isn't my game so I don't know any of those numbers but the RV6 site and K&N site, etc should.

Happy tuning!

Thank you cu2wagon for the informative and detailed information to answer my question. I really appreciate it. This is exactly what kind of answer I was looking for.

I remember Temple of Vtec got 212 SAE from an '04 5AT and 222 from a 6MT, both on a Dynojet. Unfortunately the link for the 5AT is dead. No time to look on here, but I remember some members posting up dynos here in the late 2000's?

Not too shabby. I really wonder how precise Torque's readings are. It's also too bad drag season is over, they had a dyno in the pits. It cost 10$ and you had a full graph like you posted printed out. Maybe in May when it opens
