Car magazine rate them at 5.7 secs for 6MT. If you have a 5AT, I am assuming you'll run somewhere in 6.3 or 6.5 secs. It's definitely not 5.3 seconds for sure.

Depends on the driver, tires, and how broken in the engine is too

I want your TL if it keeps up with Mustang GTs!

Pick an auto magazine of your choice and look at 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for the TL and the Mustang GT and let us know your findings. But be sure to use the same magazine to ensure near equal testing conditions for both vehicles.

New Mustang GT is around 5.1 to 60, according to www.caranddriver.com the fastest time with a manual they had was 5.7 and with automatic it was 6.4. But they test with stock tires, it could be faster with something decent.

Best time I've seen for 0-60 for a TL was Car and Driver. They tested an A-Spec version with a manual transmission and recorded a 0-60 run in 5.6 seconds and the quarter mile in 14.3 seconds at 99 MPH.
