i bought my TL like 2 months ago i recieved the letter in the mail with the activation code for XM radio for 3 months my quetion is. If i hold on and activate it later is it still valid? or do the 3 months start when i bought the car?

The dealer should have activated the service while prepping the car.

 

Weird that you have an activation code. My XM worked when I drove the car off the dealer lot.

 

Per the dealer prep document from Acura they are supposed to activate it at that time.

 

I believe that it starts whenever you call and activate XM. I bought my certified TL and i didnt even know that i qualified for that 3 month promo when i bought it. i found out like 2 weeks later when i was browsing on the Acura website for some parts. I called the dealer and they acted like they didnt know what i was talking about..but they gave me XM's number and told me to call to see if the 3 month promo really applied to certified vehicles too and sure enough i got 3 months free. all you need is the XM serial number on channel 1, number comes on after like 5 seconds. I might end up keeping XM. it's pretty cool.
