Thumbs up XM to SIRIUS Converter

I want to convert the factory XM radio on the new Acruas to Sirius. I was told that GM makes a modulator or converter. Is there one for ACURA?

I couldn't find a previous post about this topic. Sorry if its already been asked.

Thanks

Thanks , I am guessing the anwser is no for now:

A few years ago, the FCC ordered both companies to jointly develop a receiver that is capable of receiving both SIRIUS and XM. Indeed both companies have funded a development team to work on an interoperable radio. The technical challenges of such a project are enormous, and we have no announcement regarding when this radio might be ready for sale."
- Ron Rodriguez, Media Relations, SIRIUS Satellite Radio

I did think that some american auto makers have the ability now to switch sirius to xm or vice versa.

Is that at least correct?

Thanks

A member on here has been able to convert the factory XM antenna to be used with an aftermarket Sirius player or something of that nature.

Try a keyword search with "sirius" and see if that old thread comes up. I would do it myself, but I'm currently on a quick break at work.

Go Stern!!! Yea, thats the first think I asked when I bought

my TL. They said no. And there is no where to put the 'car kit' with the cigar plug.

(that looks good anyway)

I thought I read somewhere that TL radio is manufacturing by Pioneer. If that's the case, a SIRIUS satellite radio for Pioneer in-dash stereos converter has recently come out. Does anyone know who makes the radio and possibly what the unit number is?

Here's the product.

I've been talking to a couple of guys at work about converting xm to sirius and a lot of them said that the dealership would be able to do this. Is this correct?
