XM roof Bubble

XM roof Bubble

Is there a way to safely remove the bubble on the roof which houses the XM attenna?

If you want it completely gone, then whatever concerns there are about safely removing it would be minimized by whatever work would be needed to cleanly patch and paint the hole. If that part doesn't scare you, then removing the plastic housing shouldn't be a big deal.

What I mean is remove the bubble, replace the XM antenna with lets say SIRIUS, and then put the bubble back on.

I think I saw somebody post that they used the XM antenna for their Sirius radio.

I would just leave it. It doesnt look bad. It could be worst you could have a shark fin on your roof!

I like the shark fin...Kinda wish it would of been desigend that way...but it is easier when it comes to washing the car.

Normally, I refrain from making such sweeping generalizations about subjective tastes... but in this case I must say that I think the shark fin is terrible. The only thing that could be worse than the shark fin is a minature wing on the top of the car for downforce... As for the bubble, I think it looks good. It makes people wonder what you have in there that requires an antenna.
