XM radio programs are divided into a number of distinct catagories i.e. Country, Hits, Urban, Classical and so on. So when the category buttons are pressed it will take you from one to the other and access all the channels within that particular group. Does that make any sense? Here is a link to the XM Channel Listings and look at the 3rd column. In channel mode you can select all available channels.

Let me see if I can clarify that a little.
Now, when you are in "Category" mode, turning the channel nob will only scroll through the channels in that spacific category, as stated above. When you are in "Channel"(Ch) mode, you will be able to scroll through all of the channels.

Yes, and the one thing I didn't check was what happens when all the channels in the category have been scrolled through. But that's the difference between "Category" and "Channel" mode.

Question

My 'category' buttons don't jump to the first channel in each group as I would expect them to. Is this normal?
