XM Radio and Navi System
XM Radio and Navi System
Have 2007 TLS. Twice now the car has lost its navi code (battery never disconnected) upon startup. Also on startup about 1/6 times, the XM audio will to come up. XM displays artist, title, etc. just no audio. If I power the unit off/on works fine. Any thoughts?
I’ll quote the Service Manual for that one
1. “Check no. 7 and no. 32 fuses under the dash
2. Replace fuses with 7.5A or if ok go to step 3.
3. Turn ignition ON (II)
4. Measure voltage between body ground and navigation unit connector Terminals No.1 and 2. Individually. Is there battery voltage? If yes go to step 5 If no the +B wire does not have voltage, repair the open wire between the under the dash fuse/relay box and the Navigation unit. If the ACC wire does not have voltage, repair the open wire between the under dash fuse /relay box and the navigation unit.
5. Turn the ignition wire to OFF
6. Disconnect the Navigation unit C
7. Check for continuity between navigation unit connector C and terminal no. 4 and body ground.
Is there continuity?
Yes- Replace Navigation Unit
No- Repair the open wire between the navigation unit and body ground.”
Honestly if the fuses don’t fix the problem, the dealer will.
