XM Question

Ok so I am kinda annoyed that in order to get from like channel 01 to 233 you have to scroll all the way there. Is there anyway to skip farther along or get there faster? I have an 07 TL S with XM. It just seems like it takes way to long and I was looking for an easier way. Thanks.

If you have Navi, use the voice commands: "XM Channel ___."

Or, if you're actually going from Channel 1 to 233, spin your tuning knob in the other direction.

You can set the XM radio to skip up and down by channel category, rather than channel-by-channel. I never do that, so you'd have to check the manual (unless someone else knows). But it's a faster way to skip around.

Best thing, though, is to use your XM presets well. For example, since I never know which of the NHL channels the Capitals will be on, I have 204 (NHL Home Ice) as the preset so that I can then easily scroll through the NHL channels until I find the game. Similarly, if you listen to FOX News and CNN, it doesn't make sense to have presets for both because they're right next to each other (121 and 122, respectively).

1995hoo,

I do the same thing. I set the first of the set of news channels and then know that I can channel up and down. The same for NHL and for the Comic Channels.
