XM modules available??
Hell all,
I am a newbie here and have been doing a good chunk of reading. Excellent info here!!!!! I have not found where anybody has asked about retrofitting the XM moduile into a car that doesn't have it. Specifically a Canadian car. I would like to see if it's possible to add the module and thus add XM to Canadian car. I know there is no button etc but I'm wondering if there's away to make it work or if anybody has tried?? When I owned the G35 it was possible to buy the "add on" module for sat radio. Thanks for any input.

I believe the technical issue is the satellite foot print of the XM birds may not have enought power to properly illuminate the Great White North. You would need a bigger antenna on the car.
Or it could be political. XM has no channels dedicated to Canadian artists.

My buddy has Sirius in his Escalade and it works beautifully. I'm considering it also. Let me know if you get XM working!
PS. Does XM in the States only come with Navi...ie will the non-navi deck be able to run XM?

If you go to www.acura.ca I think they have the Canadian brochure there, look sbasically the same but where you have the XM button ours has a cd/dvd button. Oh and by the way getting XM here is no problem, we are very close to the border.
