Can anyone comment on the XM control with the navi screen? Does it add any functionality or is it just pretty? Can you see what songs are going on other channels without changing the channel?

For the current channel you can see Station, category, artist and title. You also can "see" what buttons are programmed to what station. My biggest complaint (which is really minor) is that they used a large font so songs/artists with many characters gets cut off and they don't scroll.

XM Only Has a Maximum Character limit of 16 for song title/artist....That's why they don't scroll....Sirius has no such limit...

That is a weird restriction on XM. I think it is 13 characters, however.

Yesterday, I was listenning to some overly compressed music on XM. The band was "Drowning Pool", but the display read:

You might be right, I know it is limited. Somewhere around 13-16....It was a programming/planning mistake when they first developed the XM transmission protocol. This is one area where Sirius has the heads up on them...Full Artist and Title on Sirius....

Do you thing XM will ever update setup to fix that? It would be nice to.

It is definitely 16 characters. In my old car I had the Delphi SkyFi and it displayed 16 (remember to include spaces in the 16)--whenever Bruce Springsteen came on, it said "Bruce Springstee" and that's 16 characters.

I have not counted the number of characters on the TL's display up where the clock is, but it could be less than 16 on there due to space restrictions.
