Will Nav display work without the DVD player?

Can I install the navigation unit in my 2006 TL without the DVD player and have operational audio? I assume the radio and CD player should work but wanted to ask if anyone has done this. I figured as long as I put in the radio code all the audio should work fine...

Thanks!
Jeff
