will a 15 inch Type R fit in the trunk? i can get a 15 for the same price as a 12. i have searched the post your setupd thread and saw no 15s?

 

Depends on the box. A 15 will fit in infinite baffle behind the seat.

 

You can fit two easily.

 

why.... BUT the box might need to be custom though, cause i know on the 3g, that rear shelf can kinda get in the way for taller things

Yah, the baffle will have to be custom cut. Nobody makes a drop in one that I know of.

That'd be kind cool! I'd need another amp...but still cool. I wonder if 3 12's would fit across there in IB-form?? Hmm. Of the top of my head...no I'm lying I did calculations awhile back...I'm pretty sure 2-15's are close or above 3-12's on cone area.

Although I've got a buddy willing to give me $600 for my w6's and PDX1.1000...not sure if it's worth it though. I said $750 and it's yours.

 

3 12's sealed would be very nice.

 

1650cm2 for the 2 15s vs 1506cm2 for the 3 12s. Xmax is higher for the AE subs but the mechanical limits are the same for both at 25mm. The W6 sounds great well past xmax but where the AE would just stop moving more, the W6 would commit suicide if you pass xsus.

As much as I like the AEs, I would still have bought one extra 12 from the beginning and called it a day if I had known how good they sound IB. You still need to hear what they sound like in the proper enclosure or in IB.

If I had the cash, I would buy yours but I don't have a car to put them in. It still bothers me that I listened to others on other forums and sold one of mine before I tried it out for myself. It's eating away at me that I didn't have the chance to hear what 3 of them IB would sound like.....probably to the point that I'm going to eventually try it out, maybe in the GF's car.
