Who has the best sound system in a TL

Hello all,
My system, while not competition ready, has been superb.
The system consists of an Alpine CDA-9815 h/u with the Alpine TUA-X020 XM tuner module. The speakers are Focal 165K2 components front and rear being driven by
a JL 300/4. The bass is supplied by a JL 12W7 Prowedge driven by a JL 1000/1 with a 1 farad capacitor. With a vehicle as quiet as our tranny busting TL's, it truly sounds great . I initally tried to integrate the sub/amp with the " No Highs No Lows Must be Bose" to keep the steering wheel controls* but, ran into a myriad of problems. I do not even want to tally total expenditures for fear of reality. Also, labor if done right, costs a fortune considering all of the insidious Bose garbage corsing through the veins of our TL's.
* there is an interface for using oem steering wheel controls with aftermarket h/u's but the results have been mixed (delayed reaction) and expensive.
Cheers,
J

No where near competition quality, but I just installed my 2 JL 12W0s in sealed enclosure, powered by Directed 250d amp. Tapped into the stock sub signal and disconnected stock sub. Sounds SO much better. I'd like to replace the stock mids/highs as well as I feel I have to push the treble all the way up to get a decent sound, but not sure if I want to mess with it that much. I'll see how hard it is to get the stock speakers out when I get my service manual (should be ariving in a few days). I know it won't be bad to get the speakers in the front doors out, but not sure about the tweeters and rear speakers. Has anyone else replaced mids/highs and left them on the stock amp? Be curious to know if it makes a difference or if I shouldn't do it unless I'm gonna replace the stock amp as well.

will make a difference, but not much... aftermarket speakers usually need more power.. i addde a 4 ch amp... you will have to cut the door speaker hole in order to fit new speakers in.. you will see when you take off the speaker.. it's not round.. the tweeters are easy.. just pry up with a small flat head. if you like installing things in your car and have some patience, it's easy to do...

I have a plexi-glass box (ProBend box) with two 10'' Rockford Fosgate Dual Coil Punch subwoofers running on a Roxford Fosgate 400S amplifier...it kicks ass
when you hear it in person, it sounds very crisp and clear and powerful...it's controlled by a little knob that comes out from the amplifier as well as the head unit...(in the head unit, u know there is the subwoofer option so i could control it from there as well)...
i have the rockford fosgate line out converter installed right next to the amplifier near the passenger side foot panel...
also, the OEM sub also works too...so it's like running 3 subs

jstadt, sounds nice.
The PESWIX (steering wheel interface) works great but, like all of this, its only as good as the shop that installs it.
My system is in my sig
Pics will be up when my trunk is done.
