Where to install Escort SRX/ZR3
I'm picking up my new SSM 6MT TL next week and am seriuosly considering an Escort Passport SRX/ZR3 having been zapped by laser. I wonder if anyone had suggestions as to where is the best place to install the control panel/display so that it's useable but does ruin the looks of the car(or is too obvious).
Thanks,
Steve

I would mount it right on the steering column the only real place it would be out of sight to passengers and clearly visable to you. It also should be very easy to hide the wires and have a clean professional look. I just had it installed in my Mustang and my GS430 both are on the steering column it looks clean no wires showing.

Here is the RIGHT answer.. i just got the SR7.... this is how I'm mounting it.. The display is going to go in the top little compartment under the radio.. I can keep it open or if I want it out of sight i can close it. Also the SR7 comes with the LED.. not sure about SRX... this i am going to mount in the empty plastic cap that is near the VSA button.. it is very easy to pop the panel off as I did this many times preparing my plan...

Thanks. I just picked up my TL and that's exactly where I want to put it. That way you can close the door and hide it. It looks like it should be easy enough to read the display quickly and safely while driving. I wasn't planning to use the LED, but maybe I'll reconsider. Did you get the ZR3 also?
