I am tired of the sub rattle, I have not had time to look at it due to the weather (NYC) but my right speaker has been vibrating so I think it is time to upgrade the system.

Out of curiosity, what’s the most the standard sub placement can handle (assuming you replace it with another sub)
Also, The TL, in my opinion has a very complex system (Tweeters in dash along with center speakers etc, my knowledge of car audio systems isn't too great) How much would it typically cost to have an installer do the work (assuming you buy the system online)

that sounds great! I was planning on gettng 2 JL Audio 12W7-3 and realize how powerful the sub is and decided to opt for 1. I don't like vibrations and having 2 of those things on my trunk would rip my TL up I think... lol
As far as why I wanted to replace the stock sub, I feel like it is a waste to just keep it disconnected there. I don't mind getting a very nice sub to replace the stock one and just drop it in like you did but I just want to make sure it is sturdy enough to handle another sub. That sub you put in is 125w, would our car be able to handle something a bit more powerful (Say in the 500+ range?)
As far as enclosure, there have some on eBay, and I've also seen some really nice ones around here from members who custom make them/sell them which is nice
Thanks for all the input.
