What Size amp for a 10w6v2?

I'm looking to complete my sub install and was wondering if the JL 250/1 would be sufficient for one 10w6v2 in a sealed box or do I need to purchase the 500/1.

I do plan on keeping the stock stereo and perhaps upgrading the speakers after I see how they sound with the sub.

Any suggestion are appreciated.

You can run the 250/1, but the 500/1 would run the 10w6 at an optimum levels. A good rule of thumb is to have more power than not enough, to avoid clipping of the amp, and running distortion to speaker. I tried to run the 12w7 w/ 500/1 and it wanted so much more, I just didn't have the room for the 1000/1 when I had my RSX-S. The 500/1 would be your best bet, I promise you will not be disappointed!
