I was wanting to add an amp and a sub to my car.. What LOC should i buy as far as watts handling, and should I wire it in before the OEM amp or wire it right from the sub wires?

 

I'm under the impression that you only use the LOC after the stock amp (using the sub's wiring) if your new amp can't take speaker level inputs.

 

My amp does not have speaker level inputs, thus requiring a LOC.. I just was not sure if there was a certain wattage of LOC to get, because I have noticed that some LOC handle wattages up to 30 watts.. Etc.. And also was not sure if the LOC needs to be wired before or after the stock amp

 

The LOC is wired after the amp. I have used the David Navone LOCs with success.
For the sub I would disconnect the speaker wire from sub and run it to the LOC and then onto the amp.
