Hi I'm new to this board. I have a new RL on order. Does anyone know if the bluetooth function on the RL is different that on the TL. I'd assume it is the same.

My issue is that I currently have Verizon serivce [best in our area] but I was told by an Acura tech that the moto V710 has issues so Acrua won't list it as a useable phone [therefore no Verizon phones]. My local independant cell phone store told me that my other best option was to use a Nokia 6820 which is Cingular. He warned me that due to the mergers bewteen T-Mobile [buying many of Cingualr's old cell site] and Cingualr's purchase of ATT wireless he had no idea what Cingular's coverage would be for another 6+months since no one really knew which sites the Cingular would end up with.

What has people's experience been with the moto V710?

Search for v710. There have been lots of threads. The gist of it is, it works. It will not display signal strength or battery life, but then, if you have a car charger that's not a major issue. You have to make sure to use a compatible ringer or the HFL won't recognize it when it rings.

 

Mine works well, the lack of info isn't a showstopper for me.. the camera takes so-so pictures, but does get a signal very well in areas my old phone (LG) didn't.. overall i'd give it a B+

 

I have a TL and think that phone pairs quite well...all indications are that B.T. will operate exactly the same for both cars...oh, and, Cingular sucks...stick with VZ

 

I have the v710 ... Better then my other two (recent) verizon phones. Sony t606 (good phone Junky battery) and Mot t720 Worse signal and battery life. So I really like my 710. I get more then a day's worth of life out of it. Works great with the TL. I noticed if you use mp3 ringers they all seem to ring though the TL. But the Vibrate will not

 

I also have Verizon and V710 works great! The car is also great. At least it was before my car died last weekend aftewr getting the tranny recall installed.

 

I use the vibrate mode with my V710 and have no trouble receiving incoming calls.

The phone is better than the T720 it replaces, though I didn't really have any complaints about it. The V710 does get better reception. The camera sucks, but that's not why I bought the phone, and the built-in speakerphone is very handy when I'm in my non-TLs. No headset for me!
