What audio source would you prefer for your Navi - to - DVD conversion???
So, as most of you may know, there is a new plug and play adapater unit to convert our navigation unit to a dvd screen.
Here is the link regarding that unit...

Basically, that unit from vsokolov takes care of the VIDEO aspect but we still need an AUDIO source, so my question is this...
What would you prefer as the audio source for that conversion if you don't care about XM?
1) AUX INPUTS - this is the best way to get the sound but at the cost of $150 and sacrificing XM radio...also, it would be necessary to take the head unit out to plug this unit with our system...but it's a plug that gets attached behind the head-unit...
2) FM modulator - this is relatively cheaper than the AUX INPUTS and this has an option in getting a wired modulator and a wireless modulator, which are $50 each....the sound quality is decent but obviously not as good as the AUX INPUTS...but it's $100 cheaper....you could also keep your XM with this option...
Thanks in advance

But, would this also have the proper harness to connect behind our TL's head unit??
If I purchase this one, then would I have to splice any wires or what???
I'm using the rosen fm convertor model number ac3195. I bought it off ebay for $20 it can be used wireless or can be hard wired into the back of the radio.
I went the wireless route cause I didn't feel like pulling the dash apart. I was very surprised, the wireless came in very clear, had no interference and the sound was amazing. This was with the box mounted under the front seat.
Rosen doesn't tell you this but if you connect both antennea leads into each other on the convertor box it makes their unit wireless.
So let's see spend $150 for the blitsafe and take apart the dash and lose XM or spend $20 and have audio that sounds pretty damn good without taking the dash apart.

Well I had wireless FM Modulator but it really SUCKED .. I never got reception or it was SOOO staticy that i coulnd't hear at all. So i changed over and go my audio shop to tap into XM, I have a switch that i flip to hear XM or the audio. Crystal clear, except the sound is a little lower than your reg AM/FM or CD player sound. So you have to turn up the volume a little more.. but other than that..
