just curious how people are getting sound. i see some people with the blitzsafe adapter, but i dont want to lose my XM. i also want to be able to control the volume with the regular stereo controls. i am looking to get this half din size DVD/MP3 player. therefore i can also play MP3 CDs. any suggestions would be great. i realize that there is info in other threads, but other threads are more specific to one product or the other, and most everything i have seen has been for iPOD interface.

you can either splice into your XM wires, use a relay and keep XM and have an aux input, or throw 100 bucks away get an aux input, and lose XM from blitzsafe

I used a PAC Audio AUX-In splitter (Be damned if I can find a link right now though) .. with shipping it was ~$50.

It's basically a relay, but they've done most of the work for you. I spliced the XM left and rights and wired a switch up front. It then gives you two RCAs in and goes into 1 out, so I kept XM (Aux 1) and wired in a DVD changer (Aux 2). I'll keep looking for a link and post back if I can find one.

Well you can forget the FM Modulators as their quality is nowhere near CD and they are imprevious to static and noise from strong local stations.

Blitzsafe and Soundgate are supposed to be out shorthly with a working Auxiliary input adapter that will work with the XM.

I myself am waiting on the goods so that I can connect my MP3 player directly and enjoy the full quality it can offer.

Best Regards

for an aux input in your TL, you can always go the cleanest way and get a JL cleansweep system thats what ill be doing in 2 days, (with JL XR speakers) ... if you have the extra cash to spend, thats the way to go!

I'm using an AVelectronic video switcher. At first I had no bass while watching DVDs and listening to XM. To boost the bass, I used a line driver w/ 10 db bass boost and an adjustable line driver. I went with this unit for the simple fact that I didn't have to cut and make switches.
