like the title says... since my car is undergoing surgery. I want to add the remote start but i want to use the factory remote. My question is will all the remote settings change...for example will it still put my windows down and all that or will that change... let me know if anyone has this which i believe some do

 

im guessing it would involve putting a chip or re-programming the original remote somehow... i dont think it should affect putting the windows down because it would be an add on.

 

i know you can have a new key fob programed to do all that (windows, trunk pop, etc) and you can get a nice looking one too, but i feel like programming the original fob would be a hassle, though i think it's been done before.

 

yea my boy that is going to do the installation said to try to start the car and see if the remote works while the car is on
