Volume Issue with XM Radio

Hello. I recently bought a 2007 NBP Acura TL Type-S.

I've noticed that XM Radio has a significantly low volume level on every channel. When i turn the radio volume from 25- 40 there is hardly a change. Usually with CD's and even the radio, a volume level of 40 is REALLY LOUD and at times unbearable.

I don't know if this is a software or a hardware issue. I drove around the new 2009 TL's for a while which have the ELS system as well and the XM volume was perfectly normal.... UNBEARABLE at a volume of 40.

Any ideas?

it really depends on the channel that you are listening to. some xm channels not that they are louder but better quality versus some other ones. at least that's what I noticed.

Issue with the Active Noise Cancellation system?

The volume levels of my 2005 non-ANC car's XM channels do not differ much from the levels on other sources (CD, DVD, regular FM, cassettes-- yes, I still use them ). I usually listen to BPM (XM81), music from the '80's and the Area (XM82). I've never had the TL's stock system above 30 because it is too loud, and usually stay below 20.
