Before anyone says I wired it wrong, let me say that it's not possible since lock/unlock, triggers are all controlled by the cannmax400 databus.

So.. I heard someone else having this problem too.

when I activate the remote start it unlocks the car, starts then locks the car again.

I did a search and it seems is a bug with some of the cannmax400 firmware.

Anyone with this setup having same problem?

Nope, mine starts without unlocking the doors. Are you flashed to the latest firmware? (canmax400dei)

No, sure don't. Whatever was the latest update as of about January, 2010.

The reason it unlocks the car is because it is disarming the factory alarm(a pulse to the disarm wire also unlocks the door), then it starts and then locks the doors again. Mine does it too. If it didn't disarm the factory alarm, it would start. Oh, and by the way, I'm saying this because I don't think it's a problem because mine does it too and I use a iDatalink module

The data logic for the TL CANBUS tells the computer to disarm the alarm any time the doors are unlocked. Therefore, most door lock interface units will simply send an unlock signal to disable the alarm and then relock the doors after start.

However, the TL alarm (and presumable other CANBUS systems) apparently can also be disabled without unlocking the doors via a signal sent through the CANBUS. The canmax400dei is smart enough to do this. My doors do not unlock during the remote start process.
