VIPER 5601 1 way alarm/remote start,, minor feature loss

I just threw in a alarm/remote start Viper 5601 about a month ago, and after ripping up my steering wheel with my clipped pocket knife i realize why the seat automatically backs up from driving position, and i realize that i'll spend anything to reclaim that feature,,,, Virtually anythings,,

anyone have any thoughts ideas, ?? my alarm installer said couldn't do anything about it, is he full of shit,,, should i contact dealer support (shoot me please) or do i contact viper tech support direct to see if they have any work arounds,,,

appreciate any responses,,

Looks like he lost the "Driver 1 / 2 Detected"

Did you / anyone by chance figure anything out? Looks like the VIPER Alarms work with the FLCAN Module and you can use the OEM remotes to control everything. Maybe this is the fix...

with the right bypass you can use the oem remote. It works with seats and arm/disarm, windows, locks, trunk, just not remote start

I believe you can still do the remote start with OEM remote too...

I think the FLCAN is the part that allows this.

If the FLCAN can do it, great but I've never heard of anyone programming their A/M fob to recognize which fob is Driver 1 or 2. Your OEM fob does still control everything but not while the car is running. But even using the OEM fob, it's not like the seat adjusts itself as soon as you hit Unlock. It doesn't move until you open the door so what's so hard about taking an extra half a second to press the 1 button for the exact same result? Stop being lazy.

I went to the idatalink website and if “OEM Remote Starter Ctrl” is the feature you’re referring to (unless you phrased your statement wrong), this feature isn’t talking about the TL. It’s referring to cars that come from the factory with R/S installed and this feature will still allow you to use your OEM fob and not rely solely on your A/M one.
