Very interested, but waiting to see what the "hotspot" and data plan charges will be...

You can't be on a call and look anything up with the Verizon Iphone...which sucks for most business oriented people. Plans haven't been announced yet either.

Not everyone needs both simultaneously, but if you have WiFi or a mobile hot spot accessible, you can.

Despite that, there are millions of AT&T subscribers out there so fed up with AT&T, that they won't give a shit and will make the jump ASAP! That includes every iPhone user I've spoken to in the NYC area.

I am happy, if for nothing else, to use Verizon as leverage to get AT&T to lower their prices on service. Works like a charm with Dish Network and DirecTv

A buddy of mine in Florida with an iPhone 3Gs who's contract doesn't expire for another 7 months yet has gotten several calls from AT&T offering him an iPhone 4 for only $100 if he extends his contract for ANOTHER 2 YEARS, NOW.

What does this say about how much AT&T is shitting in their pants?

Here's why I hate AT&T, it's long, but you'll see how they fucked me over royally and you'll have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that you too would spit on the ground at the mere mention of their name for the rest of your life :
http://www.epinions.com/content_62972399236

Summation:
- They put me through hell over 9/11 when their phones didn't work in the main computer and call operations relief center where I worked while EVERY OTHER CARRIER'S phones did.
- Overcharges galore
- Lies, lies, and more lies.
- They claimed I never paid my last bill when I know god damned well I did, putting a blemish on my credit record.

I won't even buy anything in a store that has the AT&T name on it.

FUCK AT&T !!!!!!!!!!!

im sure if the iPhone came to Verizon first, it would also have trouble keeping up with the demanding amounts of data used by iPhone users.

i think AT&T did an okay job. maybe they couldve done better, but we would be saying the same thing about Verizon if they got the iPhone first.

im content with AT&T. i never have any problems with dropped calls or bad phone quality. i switched from Verizon. i hated Verizon for its shitty customer service and overbearing UIs. back when i switched in 2007, Verizon had one User Interface across all of its phones. AT&T let the phone manufacturer determine the UI.

I doubt it, Verizon has a MUCH more robust network than AT&T does. Verizon spends more money every year maintaining and expanding thier network than all other cell phone providers combined.

Apple screwed up, they should have gone with Verizon to start with.

maybe so..

but a big reason Apple didnt go with Verizon to start with was because Verizon wanted too much control over the phone like a bunch of communists haha.

its kinda one of those phones, once u own 1, you will never want another phone. Ive had plenty of phones in my lifetime and the iphone is the best. It does appear the competition is coming on strong though.

Android have "Android martket" its more than enough apps down there. And you dont need bumper case for you phone to have good reception. Maybe i dont understand something, but i think that you can get, better and cheaper phone. 2 years ago iphone maybe was the best, but not right now...

Guys, this thread has nothing to do with the 3G TL and there's a Verizon Iphone thread in Ramblings already.
