Lightbulb Valentine V1 COLOR LED Concealed display in mirror

Alright guys i have been planning this for a few weeks now and im ready to shoot at it since i just got my concealed display in today. just to let you know from the beginning i tried searching but found nothing. what i did was i soldered my choice of colored led's on the concealed display and got it working flawlessly (wish mike would do this as an option but o'well). so all i need now is a guide on disassembling my 2008 acura tl base model non-Nav rear view mirror to proceed with my install.

This is the display after the mod..........

Try kennedy or rockyfeller. I believe they were looking into replacing the LED in the mirror at one point. jptl04 (Jamie) may have some insight, as well.
Thats a cool display. Can you provide any more details on it, please?
My only other question is that doesnt your idea kind of defeat the purpose of concealing the display?

Well it wont defeat the purpose because I will be putting only the circuit board of the display in the mirror itself, as far as the radar that will come later. Also when the radar is off you won't be able to see the display in the mirror. Thanks for the feedback bro

Personally I wouldn't recommend installing your CD inside the rearview mirror. I agree that you're kinda defeating the purpose of a concealed display by making your arrows easily visible to every person behind you. I keep my CD next to my STi-R display on the left back corner of the dash where it is very difficult to see by anyone but the driver from any angle outside the car.

yeah if you have it up there anyone behind you will be able to see that you have a radar detector. Id hide it somewhere lower, maybe where the clock is on the non-nav cars, but that still might be too high up. I guess you only have to worry about it if you live near VA
