Someone tested a pre-release version and said that it worked, but that the caller ID info doesn't show up in the MID. I would think that if it works in the V600, it should work in the V710.
Does anyone think/know if a simple firmware update can fix this or if this problem is actually with the TL?

This is great. Thanks for the link. I hope this will be good. However, $249 after $70 rebate is steap for a two year contract. I'll might think of T637 with Cingular over this. May be. The coverage for Cingular is good in the Bay as I researched.

Will be happily waiting for this. 
Even with the steep price. Well, it may be less for me, since I qualify for "new every two" and it's been almost four years with my trusty StarTAC. I'm keeping the StarTAC just in case the V710 is crap.

I am in charge of all Cell phones for my company, 20k+ employees and we have about 500 cell users ( mostly on verizon). Phone is " shall we say" FREE for me..)
