V710 new version

I keep hearing about a new version of software for the V710. If there is a new version that will be coming out, how do we get it installed on my phone?

You need to take the phone to a VZW store and have them upgrade the firnware for you. The upgrade is not due out until sometime in September, I beleive (which you can confirm the details of by doing a search in this forum...the info is out there)

nope -- you gotta know that it's available, they gotta have it, and have to be willing to update your phone. I've heard they will begin to charge for it soon - similar to the $10 fee to transfer phone numbers from one phone to another.

That's one good thing verizon has done since they were even primeco in my area is that you could bring the phone to them and they would do the upgrade for you in the store. Took about 5-10 minutes.
