As a newcomer, I apologize if this is redundant. I searched the forum before posting and couldn't find this precise issue.

I just bought my TL on August 20 (after my Accord was totaled when I was rear-ended the week before) and today I picked up a Motorola v710 after finding this forum and reading some of the commentary. Pairing the phone to the car was simple enough, and making a call on the way home from work was fine. Problem is--I can't seem to get the thing set up so that when an incoming call comes in, the HFL picks it up and rings. The only way I was able to get it to work was to leave the flip thing open, turn on auto answer, and then, when the phone picks up, hit the button on the steering wheel and say "Transfer." Surely this cannot be how it works, especially because this way it's questionable whether I will even notice if there is a call.

Can anyone shed any light on what I may be doing wrong or how I need to configure it? While I don't get THAT many incoming calls (I absolutely refuse to let anyone at the office learn my cell phone number!), I want the durn thing to work properly! The directions on the v710 are decidedly half-arsed.

OK, never mind. Turns out that the answer is in monwe's post further down the board (http://www.acura-tl.com/forums/showthread.php?t=92537). You have to set the ring tone to one that the TL will recognize--i.e., use something simple. Worked fine once I tried that.

I'll still miss having my old v60 blast out the 1812 Overture every time I get a call, though (or "Hail to the Redskins" when they win....hmmm, that one hasn't gotten a lot of use lately....)
