V710 - Call transfer

Hi guys,

Has anyone tried the transfer functionality using the V710 ?

It does not seem to work !

When a call is in progress when you initiate the transfer command the call continues on the V710 phone but there does not seem to be any audio !!! however if you send in the transfer command again then the call is trasferred back to the TL and works fine ... Weird

The V710 is an awesome phone eventhough we don't get access to the OPP features i.e. Signal Strenght & batterie Level indicators ...

I have used it to transfer from the phone to the car when the HFL was balking at the number I was saying. I got pissed at it and use the phone to make the call, then said "Transfer" and it worked fine. I don't think I've ever tried it the other way. I don't use my cell phone very often.

I've transferred calls from the TL to the V710 with no problems whatsoever. I haven't tried to transfer in the other direction.

Here's a question though for those who have: Once you transfer to the TL, can you then close the clamshell, or do you need to leave it open for the remainder of the call? I could go check it out myself, but extreme laziness keeps preventing me from doing so.

I have used the transfer several times and it works pretty well. Once or twice it did not work for me, but generally it has been good. You can close the clamshell while on the phone. One other interesting point, you can continue to use functionality on the phone - when calling voice mail you can use the phone key pad. I also have used the phone directory to dial a number, and then transfered to the BT in the car. After hanging up and using the phone again you do not need to transfer, you are using the phone as a dialer and the BT car to talk. Once you turn the car off and get back in you need to transfer again.
