V1 Custom mount?

Anyone install the valentine V1 custom mount made by blendmount. I can't post a pic of it right now bc i'm at work, but if someone has tried this let me know. It is a 3/4" opening that is attached to the rearview mirror. It doesn't look like it will fit and I don't want to spend $50 to find out.

Selling my escort was a mistake didn't get a single ticket with it so i just bought a Valentine V1 (4 tickets later )

I Just googled the link for it.. and found it: http://www.blendmount.com/showthread.php?t=93

Looks pretty sick I would like to know myself if it would fit, but I dont see why not as long as we have that mirror shaft. We just gotta measure the diameter if its a 7/8 or 3/4 and thats it. I think there was a similar product like this in the past as well can't remember the name.

Even if it doesn't fit.... it wouldn't be that difficult to open the diameter with a little dremeling...

It does not fit, members have already tried...

Plus I really do not like how it is below the rear view mirror, you are diminishing the effectiveness of the radar, the higher, the better.

the blendmount doesnt fit or the one i posted doesnt?

and do you really think 2-3" is going to make a difference? if so you should get a lifted pickup and put it on the roof. and the laser is usually shot low on the car, so it is better to be positioned low for that, and higher for radar. but since radar is way easier to pick up from a distance it probably doesnt matter where it is, as long as there is a clear view.

^ it wouldnt matter if the radar is positioned lower to catch laser thats shot low since even if u're shot by laser its going to be too late and theres nothing you can really do about it right? jw
