Used 2005 TL - How do you clear the HFL passcode?

I have purchased an used 2005 TL which has the HFL passcode enabled (which I don't know). Just purchased a blue tooth phone and need to know how to clear the passcode entered by the previous owner. The dealer is clueless at this point?

whenever you pair a new phone it asks you to create a code

If you can, try the HFL voice command "System" then "Clear". I just did this yesterday and it claimed that it would reset the passcode. If that doesn't work, try unplugging the battery for 5-10 minutes. That should do the trick

Supposedly there is a way to set a passcode on the HFL so that unauthorized users can't access it, probably to conceal/lock the phonebook since you would most likely not leave your cell phone in the car.

Call the HFL support desk, you should find the number on the quickstart guide.

If not I would go to PHONE SET UP, then DELETE, and delete anything on it.
