Is there any way to do this? I have remote start dealer installed on my car (Audiovox AS 9075A). It would be great if there was a way to continue to use the keyfob after the car was started.

 

I have been told by two custom shops that once the car is started the fob is disabled by Acura/Honda and there is no way around it.

 

Is there any particular reason why you would want to?

 

After you use remote start to start the car you have to use key to get in the car. It is kind of irritating not to be able to open trunk or doors with the key fob. The remote start was installed by the dealer and uses the factory key fob.

 

I see. I think it depends on alarm. I had remote start on my old Accord using DE Python and I was able to unlock my doors after a remote start.

I would check the 3G TL Garage and see what other remote start alarms people have used and if this is specific TL issue.

 

I just got a Python 1400XP with a DEI 556HW Bypass Module installed on my 2004 Acura TL and I am able to use the keyfob after starting the car. I can open the doors and the trunk.
