2006 Non-Navi TL w/ PA15-HON3.

Yesterday I installed the iOS 6.1 update on my iPhone 4S... and to my surprise I'm able to use the phone to control my music and still get text info on the display of the radio. The "accessory connected" no longer shows up, no matter what mode I'm in (1,2,3,etc.). I read the changelog for 6.1 and nothing is mentioned about it.

Anyone willing to confirm this or did my USASpec/iPhone turn into Jesus because it's only supposed to give me control directly only the phone WITHOUT text.

 

That's interesting. I've been holding off on the 6.1 update but maybe you've given me a reason to upgrade.

 

Confirmed. With 6.1 I can access my phone like I could in direct mode 5 AND still get the text on the HU. I hope they leave it this way.
