Upgrade to Navi?

In Canada Acura is now selling the CSX model which according to the Expressions magazine published by Acura Canada has two DVDs and has enhanced functionality over the TL's navigation system. This is what the magazine says:

"Acura has raised the bar for 2006 by offering a complete navigation system in the new luxury compact CSX sedan and upgrading the existing systems in other models...But the current version delves into brand-new territory, thanks to proprietary technology developed jointly with IBM. This system is the industry's first to use text-to-speech and speech recognition, giving the Acura owner two means of spelling out the name of one of the 1.7 million streets or cities in North America covered on its two-disc DVD database (pre-loaded on new Navi-equipped vehicles, ,and easy to add to earlier models)...The Acura "lady" accepts over 700 commands, and the sytem includes reviews of restaurants listed in the world-famous Zagat Survey...Speech recognition is also a significant safety feature. By allowing vocal communication without necessitating that hands are taken off of the wheel or eyes taken off of the road, the Acura system allows drivert to concentrate on driving."

Does anyone know any more about this upgrade and, in particular, the cost? I need a new Navi disc but I don't want to buy it before finding out more about this system upgrade.

I guess it would just be a matter of swapping our the DVD player in the trunk for one that can take 2 DVDs (with a faster processor, etc), If that were the case then it would just be a matter of some hardware costs as no major mods would be required.

If its changed that much the interface cables are probably different and you'd need to do some modding to get it to work

I doubt it would actually take "2" DVD's.. It would read and store the information off of disk one then operate off of disk two etc.. Most likely similar to most large computer games etc..
