Upgrade 2005 to 2007/8 navigation system?

Is it an easy upgrade from the 2005 to the newer nav systems that have zagats, traffic update, and other options? Are these features useful and do they work well? I don't know if this is time-feasible or financially-feasible, but if someone can offer advice I'd really appreciate it.

I am probably going to put a backup camera in during the xmas holiday. So if there is re-wiring to do for a new nav system (if that system is, indeed, worth it) then I'll do it all at the same time.

thx,
xc

If you live in a smaller city, then the traffic updates and zagat ratings aren't going to help much. The Back up camera is pretty cool.

both ways, it is an pain in the ass and you would end up killing over half of the car's warranties. You would have to change out:
Navi Drive in trunk 2k
Radio
Clock display
Nav Screen
XM tuners
Add wiring for XM nav traffic
Possibly switch out antennas
Switch out bluetooth module (may be different on 07+)

In all honesty, just to the backup camera using dom's converter and you will be good, there isn't a need to spend all of that money on a project that you will seldom use and will become outdated in a matter of months (info on the disk of course).
