Would like to upgrade the factory 04 navi to the factory 07 navi with the XM traffic. Anyone out there know how. No I dont want to buy a Tom Tom or Garman unit.

 

As I understand it, you would have to upgrade the entire unit due to hardware differences in the new Navi.

 

From what I've read, its possible (since the harnesses are the same) but it would require you to upgrade more than just the navi unit. You will need the new dvd-rom drive to support the new DVD 4.X version, new XM module to support real time XM traffic, and new headunit to support new MP3/CD-Text.
