Update on MAJOR installation setup...LOTS OF PICS!!

So I just left my buddies shop and took some pics of what we have so far... The highs and mids are in (focal k2p front and back) and a focal center channel, which was just laying around the store. The custom fiberglass sub box that we design should be ready by early next week...(the weather is to humid and its taking longer to cure) and the JL HD 4 channel amp is in, just have to wait till the JL HD mono comes in, but last we checked not till July 11 so I might go with another JL HD 4 channel to power the two 8w7 till they get in here!! Here are some pics but I'll save the rest when the car is complete

Thanks man, there is no need for a second battery because the technology (single cycle control) in the new JL amps (class D) results in outstanding efficiency about 60% less current draw than a typical Class A/B car amplifier of equal power. They are pretty much like the Alpine PDX amps.

Thanks, the only thing I don't have anymore is the voice but I do still have a bluetooth threw the Alpine w505 and the Blackbird. I was going to use the PDX amps at first but me and my buddy found out that JL had shipped 6 HD amps to Tweeter (hifibuys) in the whole country. So he got on it and got it to the store for me. You have any pics of your setup?

The radar cost $1600 but I've been there every day for the past 2 weeks helping them out so install was free on that.

Thanks Henryk, Man we have been working hard on this and it look like it was going to be done by next Thursday but now, I added some 10.2 LCD's (which is going to be molded, like it came stock) to the back of the seats. So now its going to be about week and half

Nice car.

All the money you've spent and you couldn't even get coilovers?

I don't really care for coilovers and the way my car sits you can't go any lower. There is no wheel gap. So I don't see the need for coilovers.

I have a jl 300/4 in my daily driver and it sounds okay. did you mean you had 2 8w7s? id prolly go with the hd 750/1 if i could find it, but i want the 1000v2 incase i decide to throw in another 12w7 in the future.

Thanks man, yea I'll let you know and yes I'm running two 8w7 and I am going with the HD750/1 but we just called JL yesterday and was told that those won't ship out till end of July or Aug. so for right now I'll just run the 600/4 then when it comes in my buddy said I can just swap them out!

wow, your probably the only person I've seen to successfully use an aftermarket h/u in a TL. Most people use a line drop, the RF 360, or the JL CleanSweep. You'll have to let me know the tricks to that you used to make it work in the dash so I can do the same when I get my TL.

I'm sure there has been someone else on here that has done something similar to what I have done. There is no tricks.... lets just say that there is nothing in my car that is stock, except for nav. screen which is now going to be my 4 monitor in my car. So I can use it as my back up camera screen, video game screen, nav. screen, etc.!

I am guessing that I will eventually figure these things out but if any of you guys are willing to share do's and don't, I would be ever so grateful.

                          Thanks in advance

I have not decided where to mount the maps yet. I do know that I'll put them in the trunk. I'd like to mount the amps to the underside of the spare tire cover. I will explore that option, even if is means building a beefier replacement cover.

Here is a list of what I am installing:

                          Eclipse XA5000 50W X 4 + 300W X 1 Car Amp (Front, rear and sub)
JL Audio VR600-CSi 6-1/2" 2-way Component System (rear)
JL Audio VR525-CSi 5-1/4" 2-way Component System (front door, dash tweets)
                          Kicker KS350 3-1/2" 2-way Car Speakers (center)
Rockford Fosgate Punch P250.2 (for center channel with gain turned down))
