Unlocked Cellphone And Hfl Compatability

Has anyone purchased an unlocked phone from EBAY and paired it up with their TL?

I don't want to change my plan (former AT&T customer with North America package). I'll lose ability to call canada as part of my plan.

I am loooking into buying an unlocked razr V3 from EBAY and using my SIM card. I'm worried that by unlocking the phone this will cause problems using it with the HFL.

Anyone done this?

Thanks.

I've got two unlocked phones (v3 and v635) and they both work fine with the HFL, no problems at all.

I think as long as the phone is either on the approved list or the tried and works list here, you should have no problem. My Nokia 6230 was purchased unlocked prior to them being available in the states and before I got my TL. It works just like the ones that were sold by Cingular/ATT.

I'm in the same boat as you, old plan that I refuse to give up, unlimited $99.00/month.
