Unable to hear incoming voice with Sprint Treo 700p

I just got a new Sprint Treo 700p and updated it to the latest firmware (1.10). I can pair the phone flawlessly but the big problem arises when I make a call, it gets connected but I can't hear the voice from the other line. They can hear my voice.

For those of you who have a TREO, I wonder if the firmware update could be one of the problems. Maybe, I should've just stayed with 1.08 and tried the bluetooth in my car.

According to handsfreelink.com, the Sprint Treo 700p should work for your year. Maybe you should take it to the dealer afterall.

I have the Sprint 700p and had no trouble with my '05 TL and none with my '07. Have you tried linking it with a friend's TL?

Mine worked fine with 1.08, and when I upgraded to 1.10 it worked even better and gave me the battery meter. I think you seriously need to pursue having the dealer upgrade your HFlink module in your car. There is a TSB for it somewhere on the 2004's.

Check Settings

I've got the same Treo 700p and all works well. Check in the "Preferences" section, and go to "Hands Free" to ensure that the box marked "Always route calls to Hands Free" is ticked. Good Luck.

Yup I did that. I just sold the phone and now will switch to TREO 755P. The latest model should work.

I have a Sprint 700p and had some trouble with incoming calls. I had to make my bluetooth visible and everything worked after that. Hope this helps.

I had this problem every once in a while, and found that 2 things usually caused problems. First, if the phone had a dialog up of any kind.. incoming msg, calendar alert, etc then the phone would not connect correctly. Second, if I had made a connection to another device or the phone had not been cycled in a while then I would need to do a soft reboot of the phone to get it to work correctly.

I just updated from 1.08 to 1.10 and was pleased to see that all of the features listed in the users manual are now showing up. I am hopeful that I will no longer need to reboot my phone from time to time to get it to work correctly.

You should not need to leave your phone visible, this is a security threat. (Only needs to be visible the first time you pair it with your car)
