Two BT Phones With HFL ???

So I have my BT phone linked to the HFL in my TL and it works no problem. I just got the G/F a BT Razr [she just HAD to have pink ] and I want to link it to the HFL in the TL as well. I'm pretty sure I know how to link it up as I did my phone I just don't know how the HFL with behave with two phones.

I have no question about if her phone OR my phone is in the car and on but what will happen if we have BOTH phones in the car and they are linked to HFL

Can they BOTH link to HFL at once?

How does HFL deal with a situation when one of us in on a call and the other gets a call etc?

I guess what I am trying to figure out if there will be any conflicts if I do this. Anyone have any experience or input on this one? Thanks in advance .

I have the same exact situation as you. I have the silver razr and my gf has the pink. From what I can tell the HFL only accepts one bluetooth link at a time. My phone was originally paired and I just added her's recently. If we drive individually, either phone will automatically connect. If we both get in the car at the same time, mine is the one that is linked. If I get out and go out of bluetooth range, mine will disconnect and hers will automatically connect. If I come back into range, her's stays connected. This leads me to believe that there is no way for both phones to be connected at once. If mine is connected and she wants to use the HFL, I think she would have to go into her phone menu and click connect to HFL. I am not sure that would automatically disconnect mine, or if I would have to manually disconnect first. Hope that helps!

Thats' correct. If both phones are in range, I think it tries the first one that was originally paired. If you want to change, then the one that is paired will have to turn off bluetooth and the other should then pair.

There is a HFL command to switch phones. It is something like "Find Next Phone". It will drop one phone and connect to the other. Only one a time is supported.

Dave04TL is correct. Only one phone can be linked to HFL. You do not have to turn off bluetooth on either phone. Use "Phone Setup" voice command in the car and then say "next phone" (I believe that is the voice command) and it will search for the next available phone. When the wife and I both get in the car with our phones, the phone that links to HFL actually beeps for a second. Remember, you can have up to 6 phones paired to the system but only 1 can be linked when the car is on.
