How do you turn the Nav off, other than turning the car off.

 

Go into the "Setup" menu. One of the screens has an option to turn off the display.

 

This is more of a configuration change isn't it? Like disabling the Navi. If you don't want to see the maps after you are done using them just hit the Audio button to toggle to the audio screen. I also would like to temporarily turn the Navi off after using it until the start-up but haven't figured out a better way.

Anyone know of a different way?

 

I think the navi is always active, even when the display is off. Not sure. Like if you don't push the 'OK' on startup. If you wait awhile and then push the ok, your location comes up almost instantly.

If it's already on you can always turn off using voice commands

Speak "Setup" followed by "Display Off"
