Trip Meter Limits

I've already searched Trip Meter and Trip A/B but I couldn't find a related thread... so sorry if repost... I TRIED!

Do your Trip A/Trip B have limits before they reset back to 0? My Trip A/B resets to 0 once it hits roughly 999? I can't get it to exceed 1000 unlike my other cars. TIA

hm...i wanna say that it DOES indeed have a limit; i'm not sure though - i remembering comparing my dad's car to mine and noticed that it went back to 0 then continued on versus my dad's car that just continued pasted 999...best thing to do is to call your local dealer and ask...

My Trip B resets. Not sure about A, I always reset it every time I fill up. But I figure if it does it with B, it would also do it with A.

Trip B definitely resets after 999.9 (mine just did this last night). Like "blacktls07," I reset Trip A every time I fill up. If I remember, I can try switching that routine when I go on vacation, but I'm sure A probably resets too.

Have you tried using the trip computer instead of the trip odometers?

doenst gen3 have an oil change minder like gen2?
Ours resets and triggers a light starting at 6000 miles to remind you

Doesnt the Mid system do the same for Gen3? giving a percentage of life remaining?

The oil change minder on the G3's is not based on straight mileage like the G2's (and my G1 MDX, RSX and G2 CL-S.) It is a true Oil Life Monitor that uses algorithm of vehicle and engine data to determine the life of the oil.

For some that could be well over 6000 miles; unfortunately for me, my dirty urban Jersey often-idling-in-traffic 08 TL MID is reporting 50% oil life remaning after only 2200 miles and three months.

Ntan, you should really use the trip odo for your gas-up mileage checks since those are usually in the sub-500 range and leave the trip computer for longer excursions. There's even a calculator in the Navi to help out... which reminds me, isn't there a hack out there to enable a more full featured navi-based trip computer?

There is a hack, but after a quick review of the NAV section, it doesn't work on my 3G (08 TL-S) . I guess I'll deal with it. Thanks anyways guys! Now onto finding color match for my rims...
