This is the first time it happens to me. I punch in a destination so the Navi kicks in and starts talking to me.

About 10 minuts into the trip, it just stos talking, the screen is still followint the route I'm taking, basically everything works fine except that it's not talking.

So I try to push the buttons, and I realise that the menu, zoom, ect don't work, no beep no nothing. the touch screen not working either. The radio works, and every other electrical component works except for everything related to the screen. Even the sound display button was dead.

I decide to pull over and turn the car off for a couple of minutes. I turn it abck on and everything is fine again.

drove it all day yesterday and today with no problem. cross my fingers...

 

This happened to me once when I still had my TL. I was using the navi to guide me to a destination and I had XM radio on. Nothing on the touchscreen worked. I couldn't change channels. I shut the engine off and than started it again and everything was fine. It only happen once.

Late build '04 5AT...same thing happened to me. Was following Navi directions and then went silent and touch screen non-functional. HFL would not work either. Turned motor off and restarted and everything fine. This was last month and hasn't happened since.

 

same here...was on the way up north into NYC and it froze in the middle of the city on busy streets....kinda bothered me because i couldn't just pull over (no parking)...so i had to wait till i was at a RED LIGHT to turn off the car...happened another time....but hasn't happened since...(in awhile....long while) as long as it dosn't happen again...i won't be taking a trip to the dealer....
