I have a base TL and i am thinking of buying the Acura TL navigation system.
Do they even sell it as a separate piece?

you can buy the parts for it, but in the end, the headache, labor and part will cost more than the car with navi from the factory. Search for nav conversion on the boards, you should get quite a few threads.

 

by what you say, seems like a huge task to install a factory acura navigation system.

not really you would have to change the dash harness all the plugs are in different spots and you would still have to run the wiring for the gps antenna which is part of the body harness
