Read before you post, thats so hard to read. You will have better sound with a complete rewire and depending on the speakers and headunit yes you will have to. Get JL Audio speakers not focal, they are not very good.

umm, I am a HUGE JL fan, but to say that Focal is not very good is just plain ignorant.

OP, yeah...that is rough to read. You can just install new speakers but honestly it wont make a huge difference. If you put a new amp in, yes, it will be an easier install and sound better if you run new wire throughout the car.

Ummm....What planet have you been living on? JL over Focal? Thats like saying Sony Xplod over Rainbow, Morel-Dotech, Hertz, etc. Oh, let me guess, your one of those people that use what is popular, not what is truly better than the other? Leave the professional comments and advice for those of us that know what the hell were doing!

There would be some rewiring needed for the front components but everything else can be run with the orginal wiring if you were to use the stock amp and new speakers. That being said the stock amp cannot handle Focals or any other HQ speakers. you would need an amp and speakers and a complete rewire to make it sound better.

btw they quoteed 6x9 speakers?? The TL does not have 6x9 speakers

Here's my

They quoted him $200.00 for Focals!!??

Come on, How good can $200.00 Focals sound??

It's funny how people associate a name with high quality regardless of the price point. Focal, like very other company, make several different sets of speakers at different price points. I'm pretty sure that their lower end models do not sound anything like their top of the line models. JL may give them a run for their money at the $200.00 level. It really depends what the OP ears prefer. Personally, I’m not a big fan of metal dome tweeters used in most of Focal components.

At the $200.00 price point I would suggest the OP shop around, listen to as many speakers as he can and make a choice based on what his ear tell him and not on a perceived brand image
