Time to upgrade audio

My 05 TL w/navi is due for a serious audio upgrade. Was using Dice adapter for my ipod but it died 6 months ago. I would like to keep my ipod, but lending towards the Nexus Tablet mod, but it seems to lengthy in the install. Working with a $700 budget, any suggestions.......

If you're looking for an upgrade in connectivity $700 is more than enough. Nexus tablet + all the hardware necessary will run you much less than that.

If you're looking for a boost in "oomph" and power then $700 is not enough however. The head unit in the TL is decent, but the amp and rest of the components are the weaker points.
Replacing the amp alone, you will lose your subwoofer and center speaker. So then you need to fix that subwoofer issue (center speaker you won't miss too much for the most part).
You can see why it's not a simple part switch and everybody is happy.

Just look at my upgrades and I agree with ^^^ there is no way you will get an good upgrade for $700... also sound deadning and cabling is something to consider.... unless you want something that will brake or burn within days... spend the money and get something right... do it right the first time....

Thanks guys....look like the Nexus project is in the plans. Not really looking for boosting up the sound (amps, speakers...etc.) yet. Thank you guys for the input.
